Music

Worship and music go hand in hand.  Psalm 100:2 encourages us to "serve the Lord with gladness; and come before Him with joyful songs."  We encourage every believer to actively focus on God and His presence in our world.  We provide opportunities for people to learn more of God's character and of His interaction in our lives during rehearsals and in corporate worship settings.  We intentionally select musical texts which are doctrinally sound and spiritually uplifting so we can express our faith and worship through music.  We have a blended style of worship that includes traditional hymns along with contemporary praise and worship songs.

We teach preschoolers, children, youth and adults using a variety of musical styles and activities.  Our goal is to help each person learn to express their joy and praise to God through music.

Interested persons are enthusiastically invited to join!  You do not have to be a church member to belong to any music group.  No audition is necessary except as indicated.  If you are interested in joining one of our groups, please contact our Minister of Music, Daryle Nobles. 

Vocal and Instrumental Praise Teams:  If you have a passion for worship and have an ability to sing harmony or play a musical instrument, then we invite you to audition for our Praise Team.  We have a vocal and instrumental team of piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums, and we are always looking to add additional instruments to the team.  The Instrumental team rehearses each Wednesday at 7:00 pm with the Vocal team joining at 8:00pm in the Sanctuary.

Children’s Choirs:  The Children’s Choir rehearses on Sundays at 6:00 pm. Children in 1st thru 6th grade learn to appreciate music and how it can affect their lives as they learn to worship God.  They lead in worship several times a year and are part of our annual Christmas presentation.   Our preschool choir rehearses as a part of the Mission Friends program on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.

Adult Choir:  If you have a passion for worship, and a desire to use your gifts for God, then our Worship-Leading Choir is for you!  We lead the church in authentic, dynamic praise, with a constant goal of encountering God’s presence in worship. We rehearse on Sundays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Choir Room.  Sunday Morning worship preparation is our main priority, but we also enjoy working on excellent high energy seasonal presentations including Christmas, Easter, and Patriotic Days. Technical Team:  The Technical Team provides the audiovisual support for each service.  From managing the sound board, video recording the services, providing lighting support, and projection of song lyrics, the Technical Team is the backbone of the Music Ministry.  If you are technically savvy and have a desire to work in these areas, please contact our Minister of Music, Daryle Nobles.
